Programs to provide school-based bereavement for children, grief support for families, and hospice are for older adults.
CHANGES -7 week sessions where children meet in age-appropriate groups while their parent/caregiver group meets concurrently. Arts and crafts, storytelling and discussion are used to help children develop life-skills for managing grief.
Work with Lakewood and Long Beach schools to provide faculty and staff training programs, counseling and coaching for teachers working with a grieving child, school-based bereavement support groups and referrals to other agencies.

HOSPICE program- compassionate support for clients 18+ and their family members. Client advocates provide a road map for families on how to deal with doctors and friends. In addition, Volunteers work with the healthcare team to offer comfort and companionship to families - read books, run errands or just chat.
CARE NAVIGATION- Care team meets with clients to do comprehensive assessment- gathering medical information and documents, assess living situation, assess physical and cognitive status, and discuss advance directives. Upon completion, they develop a Plan of Care.
