GREEN-MPNA (Getting Residents Engaged in Empowering Neighborhoods - Madison Park Neighborhood Association) supporting youth and families to pursue educational and leadership opportunities and improving health equity outcomes through wellness programs and environmental justice policy work. We host various leadership opportunities adults and youth can participate, as we well as volunteer for various events.
We advocated for emerging needs we stand on by today:
1) Youth Initiatives, we provide the Dr. Francisco Zaldivar ALMA Academy Mentorship Pipeline where 4th-12th graders experience STEAM related topics and career pathways.
2) Health Equity programs, where we’ve designed the wellness programs every Wednesdays for community members to attend.
3) Safe & Clean Environments, designed to support youth and families to pursue educational and leadership opportunities focused on environmental justice and pollution. Lastly, 4) Community empowerment includes volunteering, advocating for policy work, internship experiences working with our partner the University of California-Irvine and much more
