Meals on Wheels of Long Beach (MOWLB) provides a service of home delivered nutritionally balanced meals for individuals who are unable to shop and cook for themselves and who live alone.
Meals delivered daily Monday-Friday between 10:30am-12:30pm. Each delivery includes two meals each weekday: a cold lunch, a hot dinner, dessert, and a beverage.
Fee: $10.50/day for both meals; they do offer financial assistance to cover the cost of the daily meals with a doctor's note indicating need.
Referrals are taken from doctors, hospital staff, social workers, ministers, clients, family or friends.
